Our project began with the aim of raising awareness about the dangers of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Syria, to support children’s education through the distribution of school supplies.
The project continued with activities that achieved the goal, and the awareness sessions helped educate children, parents, and teachers about the dangers of mines and safe practices.
Educational kits were provided to students in the affected areas to ensure the continuation of learning, and the project continues to strive to reduce mine-related incidents and enhance educational opportunities for vulnerable children despite not having received any funding so far.
The project’s steps addressed the serious threat posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance in Syria, with the aim of ensuring safe access to education and daily activities.
The project has provided assistance to many families to protect their children in mine-affected areas, and is raising awareness and providing educational supplies to ensure children’s safety and continued learning opportunities.
Project-wide mine risk awareness sessions were held to raise awareness among children, parents and teachers about the dangers of landmines and unexploded ordnance, and we provided communities with life-saving knowledge on how to identify and avoid risks.
We distributed educational supplies to children, ensuring that their education continues safely. In the long term, we still aim to promote a safer environment by increasing awareness and preventive behaviors among children and communities in Syria, to help reduce mine-related injuries and deaths over time.
Our goal remains to educate future generations about the dangers of unexploded ordnance, to create a culture of safety, and to provide educational supplies to enable children to access learning and empower them to build a better future despite living in conflict-affected areas.
