In partnership with Transfr VR and the Taco Bell Foundation, Club youth have taken to virtual reality to explore potential STEM careers. Youth organizations and after-school programs like Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County are essential in assisting students in bridging the gap between their classroom education and their future aspirations. The Transfr VR platform provides students with a valuable chance to explore diverse career possibilities and acquire hands-on experience in various fields. Through immersive VR modules centered around firefighting, automotive, hospitality, and a wide variety of other careers, students can partake in job simulations free from pressure or judgment. This experience fosters a higher level of comfort, enhances confidence, and cultivates effective communication skills. Club members love using VR headsets and are so proud of themselves when they complete different modules. We are fortunate to have the support of funders who prioritize early workforce exploration and development in STEM careers.
