Challenge

It is imperative that the current 50 year old Boys & Girls Club be replaced with a new facility allowing us to double our membership of 2200 kids. The non-air conditioned building does not allow to us to serve all youth that are seeking our services due to lack of space and outdated equipment. The building has an unrepairable leaking roof, that effects all rooms and programs as well as cost prohibitive maintenance. There is no space large enough or dry enough for a computer & homework room.

Solution

The new facility will provide a computer room, up to date learning center and a games room. Added space will allow leadership and other programs that will teach youth the value of life, strengthen their self-esteem while keeping them in a safe place.

Long-Term Impact

A new Club will attract more youth, keep them safe and from being left home alone while their parents are working. Members will be occupied with wholesome programs offered at the club. We could serve an additional 2000 boys and girls per year.
