Construction of the new Boys and Girls Club of St. Charles County will begin within the next few weeks. The official groundbreaking will be held on December 22, 2011. This is such a long awaited project and the excitement leaving a building for a new site is wonderful. Currently we are housed in a 50 year old facility that has more leaks in the roof than you can count. The furnaces are hardly doing their job any more and air conditioning is non existant. We are still raising funds for the project as it is not totally funded but the necessity of a new building has become so imperative that we must move on. We will be serving so many more children that currently due to the availability of more space and more programs being offered. For many children the Boys and Girls Club is not a luxury but a necessity. It is their home away from home.
