Our members are enjoying added STEAMbotics activities during our Summer Blast camp which runs through August 10th. In addtition to Lego Camp (introduction to robotics), we are now offering a program specifically for our younger, female club members, ages 6-9, called Girl Engineer. This 4 week program (ran twice over the summer) is based on the book "Rosie Revere, Engineer" by Beaty Roberts.
We are also offering a program called "Think Like an Engineer" during the summer. This program is specifically for members ages 10 and up and involves fun competitions in which members work to contruct the tallest tower, build a paper roller coaster, create a water filtration system and so much more.
We love seeing the kids learning new concepts, working together and improving innovation. We are grateful for Global Giving's continued support which allows us to expand programs, especially during the summer.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
