Progress Report –September 24, 2012
The Game Tech program has started back up for the fall season at the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club and the Boys and Girls Club of East Scarborough.
Both Clubs have received overwhelming interest in the program and have expanded Game Tech to some of their satellite locations to increase the reach and number of participants.
In addition, the Toronto Kiwanis Club has offered an additional day per week for youth to work on their games.
A new 9 year-old participant of the program at the Toronto Kiwanis Club recently made this comment about the program – “This is so cool! I really can’t wait to finish my game so I can play it and show it to my parents”.
With the generous financial support of AMD and the AMD Foundation, two additional Boys and Girls Clubs will be selected in October to run Game Tech. These two new Clubs will be announced in our next update report.
Your continued support helps to provide our Club members with many unique and valuable skills in introductory programming, principals of game design, and the process of iterative design.
Thank you for investing in their futures!
