Dear Friends,
Thanks to the support of donors like you, we were recently able to bring the Wild at HeART programme to the rural village of Khumaga in partnership with the Southern African Conservation Trust. For many of the students, it was the first time they had ever held a paintbrush, yet their curiosity and natural talent were immediately clear.
Guided by an award-winning artist from Brazil, what began as a first lesson quickly became conversations about conservation, their community, and the wildlife that shares the landscape. The students then put their new skills to work designing two tote bags. The students get to keep one, and the other will be sold to raise funds for their own education programmes, making these children active participants in their community's future.
The lessons ended with energetic traditional dancing, a continuation of creativity displayed in many forms.
If you would like to see the day in action, head over to our social media pages where we have shared a short video of the session's smiles and creativity. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
Thank you again for your support.
