By Martha Mwangi | Manager, NGO Partnerships & Project Grants
Despite the current funding gap, COSDEP-our implementing partner remains committed to their core mandate of supporting sustainable agricultural development in Kenya. While we have not yet begun the project activities due to insufficient funds, we continue to prepare for the upcoming implementation phase. We are actively engaging with local communities, NGOs, and potential partners to ensure a successful launch as soon as the target amount is reached.
Our team is focused on building capacity among 10 local NGOs and CBOs by developing training materials and planning eco-demonstration farms that will serve as practical learning centers. These efforts are laying the groundwork for empowering over 500 smallholder farmers with ecological farming techniques that will improve yields, reduce costs, and promote health and environmental sustainability. We are excited about the potential impact of this project and remain optimistic about mobilizing the necessary resources to begin transforming the lives of thousands of Kenyan farmers and their families.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in this important initiative. Together, we can create a resilient and sustainable future for Kenyan smallholder farmers.
