Child Survival Aid Ghana’s {CSAG} core mission and vision of helping to transform the lives of needy children in Ghana through education, to help improve quality education, reading and writing among children in basic schools across the country, remains steadfast. On 10th October 2019, CSAG presented 6,000 assorted library books, donated from the Africa Library Project, to the five heads (5) namely Kotobabi No.2 Cluster of Schools and Klango Cluster of Schools with combined population of 5000 pupils. The schools comprised three (3) Primary schools and two (2) Junior High Schools in the Tema West Municipal Assembly.
At the beginning of 2019, CSAG initiated a project aimed at providing educational resources to targeted basic schools in Ghana. In partnership with local and international partners, this agenda was materialized. The purpose of this project is to provide good library resources to students and the general public for their intellectual nourishment and educational growth. We hope that this initiative will bring a fundamental change in the attitudes of students towards reading and learning, broaden their intellect, help them build more vocabulary and excel educationally.
It is our utmost desire to continue to work with organizations on a broader scale to resource all public basic schools in rural Ghana, improve teaching and learning by imparting reading skills / enhancing reading ability of every child between ages 6-14.Help us advocate for quality education for Ghanaian children and overall held boost the education system in Ghana. Support us to expand and continue to yield fruitful results in our projects, so that we can enrich reading and learning in basic education in Ghana.
