By John Carvosso | Project Leader
In our previous report, about the conclusion of this project, I mentioned the final books that were being sent to our
fellow book charity for use in their literacy work in West Africa. The books have been transported today by a local removal
firm (Lewis and Sons of Barnstaple) to Book Cycle's warehouse in Exeter. Some pictiures are attached.
So , once again, can we say thank you very much to you all who have supported our Literacy project 'For African Children'
Book Relief is now starting our next Project, in association with the Shannon Trust, to help with literacy in prisons. If you would like to support us please contact me via our E-Mail account (bookreliefuk@gmail.com). Our projects before the Global Giving project were in association with another charity (Read Easy UK) to help those who found difficulty in reading
and we started two local groups 3 years ago in Barnstaple and Bideford/Torrington. These groups now run themselves. A third group in Ilfracombe has now been started with Book Relief's help and is also running itself.
Once again, as we conclude this Global Giving project, may we say a big thank you to all our kind supporters.
