We have great news from the Bonguile project! Four generous champions donated between 500 and 1000 Euro, namely:
We applied the extra funds to complete all storm repairs and playground reinforcements and are in the process of bringing electricity and cooking gas to the school. We also purchased a full stock of motorbikes for the students to play "little bikers club" every day.
Additionally, over 30 individual donors, mostly guests of Bahia Mar hotel, donated significant budget support for the Quinto Congresso Community Preschool. As such, we have covered nearly all 70 children enrolled for 2026!
One lovely guest sent this note: "I visited the school and saw the dedication of the teachers and the happiness of the children."
Many thanks from the local team for all of your efforts and generosity! It means a lot. And with this uptick in support, we are looking into reopening a community preschool in a differnent neighborhood Vilankulo - one that had previosly closed due to lack of support. We will keep you posted!
