BLOSSOM has now entered into the neighboring district of Madurai. The CBO’s (Community Based Organizations) have selected and endorsed through the Women Self help groups, a set of ten new TB infected children for providing Milk and Eggs through vendors directly.
It is a new experience for the Outreach worker who is responsible for two blocks namely Kallikudi and T. Kallupatti, where the DMC is located. He holds a M.A. and M.Phil. degree and due to his keen interest in serving the children, he has taken up this assignment for a meager salary. We plan to enroll more TB children in our ‘Global Giving’ project, depending upon the size of donations to be received.
The District TB officer and the health care service providers extend good support and assistance in implementing our project in that area. Efforts are being taken to give educational materials and help to our TB children through raising local resources in kind.
On behalf of the TB children, family members and dedicated staff team, I extend a heartfelt thanks to the donors who are supportive through their donations. Please continue to help the poor TB children from the dreaded disease.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
