Distributing the Warmth of Love

Throughout the year, the Foundation has helped to spread the news, letting as many people know about our projects, especially when it came to the second half of the year, when rains followed by the cold season pervades Thailand. At the same time, any well-wishers who wanted to donate warm clothings, especially for toddlers or the elderlies, began to assist the Foundation in slowly collecting these items so that when the need arises, we would be well prepared for the circumstances.

This year saw an unprecedented long and cold winter in Thailand. The capital city of Bangkok, which hardly experience any cool season, has had temperatures dropped to around 17 degrees Celsius or 62 degree Fahrenheit. That being the case, provinces north and north-east of the capital would definitely see a tremendous drop in the thermometer.

The Foundation bought, packed and sent blankets to the north-east provinces of Korat and Khon Kaen, as well as brought warm clothings and cuddly toys for the northern hill-tribes in Samerng, Chiangmai.

"Please thank all the donors for this wonderful blanket!" said 10 year-old Ploy (not real name)

.. and squeals of laughter could be heard amongst the toddlers in the nurseries, when presented with presents of cuddly toys and presents during this Christmas season...

The Foundation for Life wishes all donors a very Happy New Year of Peace and Prosperity and welcomes any comments and feedback.

Best Regards,

Vena Lung
