Part 2, Emergency Flood Relief Operations
At the height of the Flood in Bangkok, an urgent phone call came to our office for help. Our Volunteer, Staporn was on the other end of the line, and she sounded very anxious, as she related how the floodwater had filled her home overnight, as the family was sleeping. She was very worried for her parents, both of whom had stroke and were not able to move with ease (especially her dad, who was wheelchair bound). The sales of food and water was also in shortage, and medication was scarce.
With this call for help, the Foundation for Life decided to once again round up volunteers to cook, pack and deliver food, water, medication, portable toilets etc. to this volunteer and those who live in her neighbourhood.
Again we have a video clip of the Emergency Flood Relief Operations for your viewing, as it would show you what it was like at that time. Kindly link to the following website below:
Your help in advocating for our work would mean that the Thai people get the help that they need. Please consider telling your friends and family about our project - share the link on your blogs or social networks, use the tell-a-friend feature on the project page to email your network, or just bring us up in conversation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email.
With gratitude,
Vena Lung
