Better Prepared Than Sorry
The principles that the Foundation for Life works on, is to be as ready as possible for any challenges that we may be faced. It may be that when we are overcome with heavy workload, the speed to which we respond to emergencies be slowed down, but if we have prepared for it, at least we are partly, if not totally ready for them.
Thus, although the rainy season nor the cold weather has yet to arrive, the Foundation for Life, has already been sounding out to volunteers and donors, for the need of materials, winter beanies or donations that will enable us to be prepared when disasters strike.
In the same tone, we would appeal to you our donors to assist us in our preparations, as we go about collecting yarns, beanies or monetory donations that will help us be prepared when the dire needs arise, in the event of an emergency. We will only be able to help victims, ONLY with your help.
We are happy to report that a few philanthropists have already responded, as can be seen in the yarns that were given and some beanies collect.
Whenever we see happy and warmed faces of our reciepients, especially needy children, we are filled with satisfaction, knowing that we have helped protect these little ones from illnesses relating to cold weather.
At the same time, we have had the opportunity to thank Madam A (who requested not to be named) when our staff visited her at her home. She had been a faithful knitter of our beanies, till she fell too ill to do so.... we are indeed so grateful and appreciative of her and all donors who in one way or another, extended a helping hand.
We look forward to your kind and generous response, as we move forward in preparation, because it is always Better to be Prepared then Sorry that we were negligient.
Our Foundation sincerely thanks ALL for your generosity and availability, and your partnership all these years.
Any feedback or comment to enable us to be more effective in our outreach is welcomed.
Best regards
