The unpredictability and duration of blackouts in Ukraine have created significant challenges for the education system. In some regions of Ukraine, blackouts last for 10-15 hours per day. To help children have the possibility to learn at home, prepare homework, read, etc., we plan to distribute a special kit that consists of an accumulator lamp (can autonomously work for up to 6 hours), a powerbank (20000 mAh), and a charger. Every kit will be packed and delivered directly to every child.
Brutal, systematic attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure have created significant challenges for the education system, requiring schools and students to adapt quickly to power supply disruptions. In some regions of Ukraine, blackouts last for 10-12 hours per day. The blackout crisis in Ukraine magnifies existing inequalities: children in rural, low-income families are disproportionately excluded from education, trapped between war damage, energy shortages, and poverty.
To help children continue their education at home in the evenings during blackouts, a simple kit can be provided. It includes an accumulator lamp (operating autonomously for up to 6 hours), a power bank, and a charger capable of recharging both devices simultaneously. If the blackout lasts longer than 6 hours, the power bank can be used to recharge the lamp. In addition, the power bank can also be used to charge smartphones, e-readers, or other small electronic devices.
Providing these kits is not just about helping children study during blackouts-it's an investment in their future. Over time, the kits foster educational resilience, reduce inequality, and empower entire communities to rebuild and thrive despite ongoing challenges.
