The Project Continues

By Agbogun James Otejiri | Mr

Though the Challenge is still in progress, we must express our immense gratitude to all our valuable Donors who were able to donate even in this hard times. We will ensure that our you go with us everywhere we go. We will invite all our Donors to join our face-book page before the end of next week. Next is the BGEDP Blog and tweet, before the website will be available. Updates in the form of Photos, Videos, and publications will be shared.

Functional Small scale Biogas projects are taking place all over Asia at this moment. Small Digesters of different types are being installed in remote villages where the recipients are thought how to use and maintain the facilities. The Techniques for trapping of Biogas for cooking do not require calculus. Neither does it require Automation or huge budgets. Sometimes, it just requires laying of flexible polymers beneath the ground. In our case, we will just re-shape pre-existing suck-away system in urban areas, and install similar structures in rural areas. We wish for a continuous flow of fund to cater for both heat, electricity, and dispersion of projects. But we also said the system is self sustaining. It is in that, once a few projects are established in a territory, they will be managed in a way that will produce new projects so that grants will be diverted to new villages, Towns, or Countries. But we will not just begin to jump into the field creating gas, electricity, and "abracadabra". We will use the little money we have to start the gas project, in the process developing the electricity project in a gradual manner.

This project is indebted to Evoke. It can only pay back by bringing something solid to the table when the next episode begins. And there is no time to say: "no time".

Your comments on this report will be very useful.
