Alif Laila Library has launched a noble initiative aimed at improving literacy skills
among underprivileged children through its Cycle Library program. This mobile
library travels to the streets and communities where children lack access to
education or books, providing them an opportunity to learn, read, and grow. This
initiative brings books, stories, and learning sessions directly to children in need,
helping them develop essential reading skills.
Program Overview:
1. Frequency and Reach:
The Cycle Library operates twice a week.
On each visit, the librarian engages with 10 to 15 children.
In a span of one month, the librarian reaches nearly 100 children, helping
them learn to read and enjoy books.
2. Activities and Engagement:
Reading Sessions: The librarian reads books aloud to the children, guiding
them through stories and helping them understand the text.
Interactive Storytelling: Stories are presented in an engaging way to hold
the children's attention and improve their comprehension.
Puppet Shows: Puppet shows, especially themed around the jungle,
entertain and educate children, promoting both fun and learning.
