beYoureyeS promotes sports accessibility in China by creating inclusive opportunities for people with visual impairments and other disabilities to participate in sports, fitness, and community life. Through accessible sports programs, public awareness campaigns, and advocacy for accessible environments, the project empowers disabled individuals, fosters social inclusion, and helps build a more equitable society where everyone can benefit from the power of sport.
Sports should be a universal right, yet for people with visual impairments, they often remain out of reach. To participate, they rely on trained guide runners, safe and accessible spaces, and a supportive community. Without these, they are excluded not just from sports, but from the social connections and health benefits they bring.
Every weekend since 2015, we've been hosting running activities to make sure runners with visual impairments and volunteer guiders run together. (2015-2025 | 452 sessions | 76 Certified Guiders | 17,000+ participants times | include 4,600+ participants times with visual impairments). We organize inclusive races, ensuring everyone can run together-simply and equally. Our mission is to reshape society's understanding of disability equality and sports accessibility.
There are two long-term impact: 1. Equality of disability. We hope, with the current development of sports in China, all people who have a passion to participate in sport will do so, including those with disabilities, and to ensure that they do not find restrictions; 2. Sports accessibility. Whilst hosting our own activities, we are advocating to all major sports venues and sports groups to support sports accessibility.
The Government of People’s Republic of China has implemented new regulations for foreign NGOs operating in China. GlobalGiving must receive Government approval before we can disburse funds to organizations registered in Mainland China. This means that the disbursement of your donation to this project may be slightly delayed while we obtain the appropriate approval.
