In Afghanistan, the Afghan Institute of Learning has two major health clinics that run 24/7 with over 50 health personnel on the go, ready to help those that come in from small villages to major city, all in need of attention. Over the past years it has been difficult for those that are mostly poor to afford healthcare, because even in a third world country, health care is a major necessity, however most of the population is living in poverty to even think about affording healthcare, so citzens such as women and younger children are more susceptible to get ill quickly and even die.
AIL wanted this to end, because as an organization that is there to help people, we cannot stand by and watch as the people of the nation suffer. AIL had imposed that anyone that would come to one of these health clinics in Kabul or Herat would be allowed free checkups, and given a more cost effiecient way to provide vaccines and medication for medical needs.
