Can'd Aid is continuing to raise funds for the Berthoud Adaptive Park Project, and we are just over halfway to reaching our million dollar goal!
Picking up where the last report left off, our BerthoudGives campaign ultimately brought in a total $10,285 from local Berthoud business, residents and supporters. What originally started as a $2,500 match from The Arc of Welc County, became a catalyst for a community-wide effort, strengthened by ten local businesses who offered to donate a portion of sales to the project, ultimately embodying Can'd Aid's Fueled by People Power mentality and showing what the power of community can do!
We also received a $10,000 donation from long-time partners, High Country Beverage. Plans are in place for the Berthoud Adaptive Park Project's third annual lemonade stand on June 10th and 11th, where we hope to bring in more funds than ever before, and we are in the preliminary planning stages with the local fire department to be the beneficiary of their 3x3 basketball tournament fundraiser in July.
Thank you for your continued support as we try and reach the finish line to begin building by Fall!
