Though fundraising efforts for the Berthoud Adaptive Park Project have been slower going on the GlobalGiving platform, both grassroots fundraising efforts and grant requests have grown exponentially since launching this project. Can'd Aid formed a relationship with local business Berthoud Brewing Company, who signed on to be a fundraising partner and ongoing supporter of the project, cementing a pillar of support from a popular gathering place within the community. To kick off our new partnership, Berthoud Brewing committed to matching $5,030 in funds and hosted a party complete with a silent auction to jumpstart the process. In response, park developer Edwards Development committed to an additional $5,030, helping Can'd Aid achieve our original matching grant challenge of $25,000 from the Braly Family Foundation - getting us to nearly $65,000 for the year.
Fundraising aside, the planning process continues to move forward with design plans being submitted to the Town of Berthoud for approval and park renderings underway.
