Beit Hagalgalim - Provision of weekend Breaks provides respite for special needs children in one of five centers manned by volunteers, encouraging the development of social skills, personal empowerment and creating a leadership among adolescents with physical disabilities.
Teenagers and children with special needs also need the social interaction to develop themselves at the same time as giving their carers some rest and respite from the constant care needed.
While the youngsters are able to experience a social and dynamic community their carers are able to rest and also give others in their families much needed attention.
Families will be strengthened by being able to experience social interaction and independence while carers gain rest and respite.
