By Dr. Hayley Adams | Director of Operations
Good Afternoon!
A few udpates since we last reported:
-We have secured funding to move ahead with the beefences close to Tarangire National Park, as well as to begin the farmer's beekeeping training in both of our location sites in Tanzania.
-Our partner in this initiative, Wild Survivors, are now working together with Chem Chem Foundation, who run two lodges close to Tarangire NP and Lake Manyara. Chem Chem will help to facilitate our beefence project with three villages who suffer crop raiding from Tarangire: Sangaiwe, Vilima Vitatu, and Kikoi.
-We continue to collect data from our trial buzz boxes, and expect that they will soon be incorporated into the human-elephant conflict mitigation initiative as an added tool in the arsenal.
Your generous contributions over the holiday season have made the above progress possible! You are all Silent Heroes in our eyes.
With Gratitude,
Dr. Hayley Adams
