The "Become the Warmth" project will directly benefit the internally displaced and refugee households by improving the spaces they currently occupy, securing their daily food necessities over three months, protecting them from post-winter diseases, and providing essential winter items (fighting off winter bottlenecks), including clothing, basic needs, and shelter services across Lebanon.
Lebanon's humanitarian crisis is deteriorating quickly. The ongoing situation has caused South-North and east-west displacement, pushing people into schools/informal shelters that are not equipped to handle this heavy burden. Thus, the displacement is widespread, affecting all 26 districts across all eight governorates. However, with winter at the doorstep, an emergency intervention is needed across Lebanon to make the coming quarter warmer!
The winter campaign will improve the living conditions of Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian IDPs and refugees in the upcoming harsh winter. It will also provide them with winter supplies, including food security items, basic assistance, clothing, and WASH/shelter support across Lebanon.
This project will eventually contribute to SDG 1 (alleviate poverty), SDG 2 (achieve food security and improved nutrition), SDG 6 (ensure availability of water and sanitation), and, importantly, SDG 3 (ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages),
