More and more women face cancer. The treatment is severe. The Mimi Ullens Foundation improve the quality of life of cancer patients during their treatments. By improving the well-being of cancer patients, we substantially improve their chances of recovery. Better within their bodies, they have greater strength to carry on the fight. Our help also makes it possible to combat loneliness and isolation through the warm welcome provided by specifically trained professionals.
In 2012, 6.6 million women throughout the world discovered they were suffering from cancer. While treatment is effective, its nefarious effects on the body are considerable: skin reactions and broken nails, as well as loss of hair, eyebrows & eyelashes. Women often feel they lose their femininity and their dignity. Fighting these effects is of capital importance. If they are OK in their bodies, patients have greater courage to fight the illness.

Our goal is to fund 900 care sessions in our wellness centres located within the oncology departments of our partner hospitals in Belgium so that 900 patients can choose to enjoy, entirely free of charge, 500 specific beauty-care sessions (including advice on hair style and makeup) and 400 therapeutic massages. The long term effects or our project ? To improve the chances of recovery of 900 cancer patients. The beneficial effects of our work are recognised by the medical corps.
