Phase 2: Bathrooms and Washrooms Renovation

The original goal of Bread of Life Int. role was to support the feeding program for the orphanage, however, we also found that the orphanage needed some repairs, maintenance of broken water closets, handwashing basins, bathrooms, shower rooms, and washrooms. This was important to keep the children safe and to live in hygiene environment and prevent them from contacting diseases, bacteria, and germs.

With additional support from donors, Bread of Life Int collaborated with SOS Children’s Village Ghana and replaced nine (9) water closets, five (5) ceramic hand washing basins and five (5) telephone showers. In addition, one (1) bag of cement, a bucket of oil paint and some PVC pipes were provided to complete the maintenance of the bathroom and shower rooms.

Sister Lydia, the sister in charge of the orphanage, expressed her sincere gratitude to donors of Bread of Life Int and SOS Children’s Villages Ghana for supervising the installation, replacement of new bathrooms, and shower rooms for the children in support for the wellbeing of the children.

What is remain of the project is to get some funding to paint the rooms for the children and the house to help with their environment and encourage feelings of empathy and nurturing.

Bread of Life International will like to thank all the donors for supporting our mission. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Alex Kekula, National Director and Madam Benedicta Pealore, Program Director of SOS Children Village, Ghana for supervising the project to completion
