Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) is undertaking a new project named "Be The Hope for Youth After The Fires in Turkey" to support the education of students who are affected by the fire disasters in the summer of 2021 , as well as by the recent floods that greatly disturbed the lives of students residing in Kastamonu and other affected regions in the same year, in Turkey. Scholarship holders of the fund will be supported during their academic life.
Fire disasters and floods in the summer of 2021 in Turkey has negatively affected the students and their families. Most families has lost their houses, working spaces like barns, forests, fields etc. It means that they will have a challenging period of recovery following the disasters.
This project aims to help young people who had to face the negative sides of the disasters by providing financial and moral support. Students who will be receiving funds from this project will be preserved under the wings of the Turkish Education Foundation and they will have the chance to benefit from online mentoring programs and trainings in addition to monthly stipends.
TEV aims to create a life-long positive impact on the lives of these students by supporting them with every means possible. Monthly stipends and coaching support they will receive will help these young students to focus on their studies and provide them a hopeful future. In this way, TEV aims to minimize the negative effect of the fire disasterson the education sector.
