To provide income-generating training to youth

Thanks to all who have supported this project.

Project aim was to enhancing employability through Vocational and Skill Development Training among Youth members of Chandigarh.

Outcome:-

•         Trainees gain the practical knowledge of the computer hardware & software.
•         Trainees become aware with latest technology in the field.
•         Trainees become aware with the data surveying & network system.

35 candidates were trained in this project.

Success story:-

Name: -Mr. Santosh

Age:- 32

Address: - Darva, Chandigarh

Introduction: -

Santosh is residing in Darva on rent. His father is working as labor and hardly gets the work in whole month. There is no another source of income. Before joining the training course he was taking the photographs but earns very little profit on it. He was very disappointed and lost his hope.

Intervention: - During the mobilization in the community he was approached, and motivated to come at Nidan to enroll for the vocational course, several time he denied to come because of his family issues. His family was counseled many times by the staff members and as a result they agreed to send the Santosh to enroll in the vocational courses. He is very shy and less talkative. Now after completed course successful, he is working and earning good money every month. He was very happy and whenever Nidan staff visited his home, he always says thanks to bring the change not only in his life but in whole family. 

Achievement: - He is actively participated in every activity of the Nidan.  He is now start taking order from the nearby schools, offices& industries for the pc related issues.
