Summer of Food, Fun and HEAT

Over the past two months, Be Enriched has continued to bring communities together through food and friendship across South London.

Our Community Canteens have been serving free, three course vegetarian meals three times a week in Elephant & Castle, Clapham, and Tooting, made with surplus food to reduce waste while providing healthy, welcoming meals for local people. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and canteen leaders, these shared meals create spaces where neighbours can connect and no one has to eat alone.

This summer, our London Food Bus Project gave its much loved Milk Float a vibrant makeover, with new artwork created in collaboration with local artists and automotive volunteers. Alongside the Food Bus, our community greengrocer continues to make five weekly stops across South London, providing affordable fresh fruit, vegetables, and cupboard staples to residents. We also launched our Summer Kids Club, offering children who receive free school meals with nutritious meals alongside creative and educational activities throughout the school holidays.
