Founded in 2017, Casa1 is an organization that works to promote the rights of LGBTQIAPN+ people and their intersectionalities.
Located in the central region of the city of São Paulo, it focuses its work on three main areas: the shelter residence for LGBTQIAPN+ youth, Galpão Casa1, and Clínica Social Casa1.
With the funds raised in this GlobalGiving campaign, we were able to pay for one month of internet service at our cultural center.
By providing internet at Galpão Casa 1 for one month, we ensure access to information, culture, and support for bureaucratic processes. This includes legal consultations, document requests, job search assistance for formal employment, and participation in selection processes for LGBTQIAP+ people in vulnerable situations.
Main uses:
Access to computers for people in vulnerable situations.
Use as a computer lab.
Casa 1 team activities for weekly work across various areas.
Employment support shifts carried out by the volunteer team.
General public assistance during cultural and formative activities.
Estimated impact over one month: approximately 165 people directly assisted and 300 people indirectly reached.
