For the Centenary of BAUHAUS SCHOOL Varna Design Forum begins documentation of the architectural heritage along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, influenced by the Bauhaus. VDF will prepare one exhibition and will issue a book with most precious and problematic buildings from '20s, '30s and '40s years of the twentieth century. Importance to recall the principles of Bauhaus - to build an aesthetic criteria for architecture and design, to stop destructive trend for construction of eclectic building
The legacy of Modern movement in Bulgaria is not documented and threatened with destruction and change of the original architectural style.
In accordance with the global trend will be completed documentation of buildings, built in the '20s, '30s and '40s years of the twentieth century. Furthermore those building will be included in the list to be placed by the National Institute of immovable cultural heritage under protection as a cultural heritage.
A two lingual book with the documented cultural heritage will be disseminated among municipalities, universities, libraries, schools. It will have a didactic and pragmatic impact for at least 20 years.
