Dear Friends and Donors,
Namaste!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and partnership over the past 12 academic years. Thanks to your generosity, we continue to enhance educational opportunities and facilities for children in the slums.
Academic Year 2023-24 Highlights:
Our main upper primary school in Dasaripalem serves students from 1st to 7th grade. With the guidance of six teachers, three helpers, and dedicated cooks, 120 children attend daily.
Additionally, two evening learning centres—located in Swarna Bharathi Nagar and Lingayapalem Slum—benefit over 70 and 80 children, respectively, with the support of two teachers at each centre.
All students in our slum school have been successfully promoted to the next classes, including those attending the learning centres.
We proudly share the achievement of Rehana, one of our old student who started her primary education with us since 2014. She passed her 10th-grade exams with distinction, securing the top position in the government high school. She has now gained admission to IIT Nujuveedu. Additionally, Like this many of our old students who started their primary edcaution are successfully entered in intermadiate and graduation courses. At present 19 students have been promoted to 8th grade in other schools from June 2024 .
Our commitment to quality education, nutritious meals, and a safe environment remains steadfast. These slums lack other educational facilities, making our work crucial.
Current Initiatives: 2024-25
Admissions are increasing in our school and learning centres.
As the academic year just started, The project benefits approximately 275 slum children through one upper primary school and three tuition centres.
We provide midday meals to 125 children in our school and evening nutrition snacks to 80 children in our after-school learning centres.
Additionally, we supply school uniforms and educational materials to 125 children in our upper primary school.
Regular health check-ups are conducted to prioritize the well-being of the children.
Your Continued Support:
During this quarter (April to July 2024), your generous donations totalled US$ 1250.
However, we still need your support to ensure the sustained success of our project.
Urgent Needs for the New Academic Year: 2024-25
Education Materials: We require new textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, crayons, charts, maps, and other learning aids for the 150 slum children.
School Uniforms and Bags: Providing uniforms and bags for the 150 children attending the slum upper primary school.
Operational Costs: Covering expenses related to running the slum school and tuition centres, including salaries, rent, electricity, water bills, transportation, maintenance, and contingency funds.
We humbly request your continued support in providing new educational materials, uniforms, and enabling the operation of our slum school and after-school learning centres.
With sincere gratitude,
