The past year was a success started well which positions us for 2020 which stated to be a year of transition as we begin to make tremendous impact in Basori Village in The Gambia.
One of our sponsors from London visited the Gambia and regardless of her tight schedule was able to visit our office. She was very impressed with what we doing and this was a boost to the trust and confidence we try to build among our donors,
Unfortunately the beginning of 2020 took us unnoticed due to the Covid-19 breakout. This was unprepared for and as a new and small organization we do not have the resources to manage this while being on the field.
Meanwhile as all schools are closed and children being home, our volunteers and staffs calling on parents and guardians of all to offer advice about Covid-19, counselling and update .This is proving to be very effective as children are always available to answer our impromptu calls to check on them.
On the other hand, we have slowed down on all field activities and hope to resume immediately the pandemic is over. Our heart is with the children in the street and hope that all this will over soon when we will recommence all field work. In the meantime because of limited resources we have only been able to send rice to some of the children whose family are in desperate need.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand by us especially in this time when the whole world is in need. Your support is pushing our mission forward.
Best regards
