The report is intended to give an update of progress so far in relation to the Basori project Gambia.
The picture above is Blessing N Ebube. She attends one of the schools we work with, The Glory Baptist School. Blessing is an orphan who was abused by a Nigerian man who took advantage over her homelessness. Unfortunately she got pregnant in the process and life becomes more miserable. She is in Grade 12 ready to write the West African Examination Council Exam. Unfortunately the school could not keep up with her challenges as she owes the school for three academic years (G 11, 12).
Our team was informed and we were able to save her from going back to the street by settling all her bills and support her with her studies. We are now monitoring her progress to see that she make good grades in her coming exams. The next challenge is sending her to tertiary education once she completes her exam. We have attached her story written by her for your consideration.
Again in our continuous effort to re-integrate and prevent the underprivileged from entering the street, three other children have been rescued as they have been home for the past three months without going to school due to inability by their single mother to pay fees. They have now returned back to school because of your support.
As we continue our mission on the field we want to thank all donors’ potential donor and supporters for helping us reaching out to these children. We are grateful and happy your donations is giving hope to these children and building a healthy community.
Your continue support is requested for us to be able to meet our target as we continue to engage in making difference
Thank you for supporting SCEO and we look forward for your continued support. in communities.
Best Regards
Jonathan Kaitell
