Basori Village (Gambia,) Children Empowerment

The report is intended to give an update of progress so far in relation to the Basori project Gambia.

We apologies for the delay in our report as our team is currently engage in the provinces working with families. Report and photos will follow in our next report.

 Two pf our sponsored children were transferred from the Government school to one of our partner private schools due to their willingness to change and readiness to learn. They are doing well and the families are grateful.

We have a great concern now with one of our Past sponsored student that just completed Grade 12 with a very good result but cannot enter the university due to financial support. His name is Leo Senghore and currently at home hoping. Our fear is for him not to end up in the street doing nothing as he is very promising. We ask for your intervention in his case and look forward to him gaining admission at the Gambia University.

I have included a photos of the two girls transferred as well as the picture of Leo.

We are very far from reaching our target in terms of funding which is our great concern especially at this time when the community we are serving is gaining confidence and trust in the services we rendering to them. Please As a special appeal please continue to support us and help us reach other people and organization that will help us give these children new beginning and hope for the future.

The report is intended to give an update of progress so far in relation to the Basori project Gambia.

We happy to let you know that the team on the ground is doing an excellent work and they have registered new cases of children who are to benefit from this project. We are hoping they will be supported fully in school next academic year starting September 2019.Meanwhile counselling and medical attention is in progress for every child to make sure they are fit for the academic year ahead. Families have been very supportive and embrace our presence. All this is because of your support and concern for these children.

 On our last report we mentioned about sending Blessing N Ebube to tertiary education. We still making a special appeal for the support of this girl to pursue her college degree. She is very brilliant but could end up in the street again. If you so desire in giving this girl hope for the future we will be glad to let you talk with directly as she is desperately in need.

We are also planning an official registration to start operating in Sierra leone next 2020 and we will be looking forward to your suport in getting this done when we lunch the project.
