Basketball Scholarship Program Progress Report
Empowering Underprivileged High School Basketball Athletes
Date: 06 May 2025
Program Overview
The Basketball Scholarship Program was launched to support high school basketball athletes from underprivileged backgrounds by easing financial burdens and opening pathways to both academic and athletic success. The program’s mission is to ensure that talent, dedication, and potential are not limited by socioeconomic challenges.
this initiative was designed to:
The initial target of the program is to support 30 high school student-athletes, enabling them to complete the school year with dignity, confidence, and full access to the resources they need.
Current Progress
As of now, 6 student-athletes have been awarded scholarships—representing 20% of our overall target. Each recipient was selected based on financial need, athletic talent, academic standing, and character.
Breakdown of Recipients:
Positive Impact
The impact of the program extends far beyond the court. For the families of our scholarship recipients, the program has significantly lessened financial stress, providing essential relief during difficult times. For the student-athletes, it has created a renewed sense of hope and focus—empowering them to concentrate on their studies and work confidently toward their academic and athletic dreams.
“This scholarship means more than just financial support—it’s a vote of confidence in my future.”

Key Outcomes:
Challenges & Opportunities
With low funding at the early stage of the program, we have managed to enrol 6 students for the current school year 2025. As we plan to increase the numbers, we recognize the need to address challenges such as:
Raising Awareness in Schools and Communities
While coaches and athletic directors are vital partners, we need a stronger network of advocates in local communities to help promote Basketball, introduce new athletes. Broader awareness campaigns are necessary to build develop basketball and talent in the community engagement.
Expanding Funding and Administrative Capacity
Initial funding has been limited, which restricts the number of scholarships we can offer and the scope of services we can provide (such as mentorship, tutoring, and counseling). Administrative resources are also needed to ensure smooth operation, outreach, and follow-up with recipients.
Next Steps:
Conclusion
The Basketball Scholarship Program is making a meaningful difference in the lives of underprivileged student-athletes. With 4 boys and 2 girls already benefiting, we have seen firsthand how this support can transform potential into opportunity. Every student we support represents a story of potential, resilience, and ambition.
As we move forward, we remain committed to our vision of equal opportunity and are calling on partners, donors, educators, and community members to join us in expanding the reach and power of this program.
Together, we can unlock the dreams of underprivileged student-athletes and help them build bright futures—both on and off the court.
