COVID 19 has caused more mental problems in society. In Basildon we have experienced local Charities and CIC's developed by local people for local people, but the funding of it is severely strained. BASILDON NEEDS YOUR MONEY TO HELP THESE LOCAL ORGANISATIONS MEET THE DEMAND! We are appealing on behalf of two of these local mental health groups Motivated Minds and The Listening Post. Please give generously to this appeal to help the mental health of people in the Basildon Borough area
The problem is that more money is needed to satisfy the need for counselling in Basildon. Right now mental health counsellors are very much in demand. Covid 19 has brought about a rise in mental illness. Counselling can be expensive through private channels and at best not readily available in the NHS, who are overwhelmed all round at the moment.
Counselling is important, because counselling helps to get to the root of the issue; to understand why you are suffering from depression and other associated conditions. Everyone is different, one size does not fit all and this is where an experienced counsellor can help you. If you are a child, teenager, young, or older adult and for whatever reason suffering from a mental health issue you need help. More funding will help to develop the service offered.
It is important that this valuable service offered to local people continues and develops in Basildon. More funding is currently required because of Covid 19. In the long term this will go towards creating more awareness of the available services to Basildon people and hopefully make a contribution towards its work
