This project will finish building two classrooms learning centers for refugee children, preparing at least 150 refugee children each year to join the formal education system, provide basic needs (food, shelter, education and health care to 150 refugee children victims of war and displacement, and advocate for their fundamental rights through a holistic approach (Spiritually, Intellectually and Physically). Some are orphans, children with disabilities,or born out of rape and sexually abused.
Uganda welcomes many refugees from different countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea. There are currently 150,000 refugees in Uganda and the majority are children who are victims of human rights abuse. No one claims the responsibility to take care of refugee children in Kampala. The Government blames the UNHCR and the UNHCR blames the government. Other institutions say that refugees are specifically for UNHCR and the Government.
This project will provide food, education, shelter, spiritual and moral guidance to refugee children starving. The children mothers who have been sexually abused will be trained in small income generating activities and their parents and the communities will sensitized about the children's fundamental rights. If this project is funded many problems of refugees children will be solved and they will later become good citizens and responsible people in their communities and their countries.
Good citizens, well educated and well exposed to the challenges of the world and the community, will play different positive roles in the community and also have a promising future generation. on the community's lays. This project will provide basic needs to 150 refugee children allowing them to rise out from misery and destitution. This will provide for them a well being at all levels and put in place infrastructure that will sustain the development of the community, the country and the world.
