Atter the 2015 floods in Chennai, things have returned back to normal. People have got busy in their life trying to balance work and home but there are a few who are yet to get in terms with the situation as they have lost everything. HOPE foundation is still carrying out the relief work in some or other form.
On 29th April and 2nd May, HOPE foundation distributed School Uniforms to the HOPE school students staying in Kannaginagar Slum Rehabilitation Colony, Chennai. It was a initiative carried out to off load the burden of parents of purchasing the school uniforms. At the begining of the academic year, parents have to purchase school uniform, shoes, socks, school bag of which school uniform takes away a big chunck of money. Parents were very happy to get the school uniforms. On the same day results were also announced which brought double joy to the parents and the children.
We are very thankful to all the donors who have supported us during the floods in carrying out the relief work and also post floods to bring hope and stability in the lives of the flood vicitims.
