This project is about providing the most basic survival essentials for human living which is clothing, blankets & mats next to food and water. As the floods washed away the homes of 20,000 families in the most needy communities of Kannaginagar in Chennai, the victims are left in the lurge of chill shivers and sleepless nights. This project provides each family with a survival kit of essential clothing, blankets and mats so that the Women & children feel safe and secure to REBUILD their lives.
In November, 2015 Floods that came as a result of Incessant rain and thunder storms washed away all the belongings of the families who lived in the ground floor of slum communities of Chennai .This has left them with no essential clothes & bed roll to sleep on. This project will focus on providing a survival kit including essential clothing, blanket and mat to 20,000 families. This would make them feel safe and secure and help them to focus on rebuilding their lives.
This will provide them with A survival kit consisting of a blanket, a mat, a saree and a clothing for a child. This kit would help the woman and the children of the family to feel safe and secure and have good night sleep.
The provision of a blanket (bed sheet) and a mat would be there for years serving the purpose for which it is provided. This supply will help them to focus on rebuilding their lives hence forth. Through this project we will help 20,000 families impacting over 80,000 people.
