We sang the Happy Birthday Song
On September 4th, we celebrated our Kindergarten's 8th birthday! Among teachers, parents, kids and Foundation's managers, we sang and danced around a diaper-simulated cake. Nevertheless, real pieces of cake were handed to the children, who were thrilled with the surprise.
Throughout these months we've returned to face-to-face activities, with 50 girls and boys participating in every encounter. We've accompanied children in their learning of animals and means of transportation. We've used visual aids and physical activities as tools to consolidate knowledge. Also, children have had the opportunity to get closer to instruments and explore melodies. As other children are staying at home, we follow up their processes very carefully.
In order to watch for children's health and nutrition, we've been supporting their families by giving them biosecurity items and market baskets. However, as well as we've provided these material aid, we've also been accompanying parent's growth of their breeding abilities.
By launching a podcast episode of "Aprendiendo en Familia" (Learning in Family) every 2 weeks, parents have had the opportunity to approach, learn and meditate on several topics such as how does relationships, affection, bonding and attachment occur in early years. Hand in hand with psychologists and these parents we've discussed children's psychological needs, as well as the difficulties that caretakers face when these love expressions aren't as natural or frecuent, due to their personalities, affection wounds or love comprehensions that have been passed in their families by generations. Through these spaces, both mothers and fathers have been able to express themselves in a secure space while they bond with other parents.
