Let's update you on what's been happening over the last few months:
April: A refresher workshop on the Whole School Improvement Approach including a WASH workshop took place for the school management. In addition, the new furniture (105 desks and 7 teacher's desks) were delivered and a monitoring meeting was held with district elected officials.
May: A refresher workshop on the Whole School Improvement Approach including a WASH workshop took place for the students. Additionally, the construction of 2 latrine blocks (10 individual cubicles in total) was completed.
June: The renovation of the seven classrooms was completed.
July: Technical inspection of the buildings took place by the district. Afterwards, the buildings were handed over to the school community and the district during an inauguration ceremony.
Thank you so much for making these successes possible! Through the original project and the follow-up project at Barmwony Primary School, we were able to significantly improve the learning conditions for about 1,253 students. Without your support we would not have been able to implement our plans.
Of course, our work in Uganda does not end there. Therefore, we hope to continue to count on your support. If you have any questions about our work or the project at Barmwony Primary School, please do not hesitate to write to us!
