Construction of latrines
we've got great news from Uganda: The construction work of the follow-up project at Barmwony Primary School started in February 2022 and continues to progress!
Now that the excavation work for the two latrine blocks has been completed, the foundation and the columns for the foundation walls have already been poured. The inner Wall of the latrines is smoothed with cement and the concrete ceiling wall is also in place!
Great progress can also be seen in the renovation of the seven classrooms. The old windows and doors have been removed, the old veranda demolished and reconstructed. The roofs of the school buildings are also being reconstructed and a concrete ceiling has already been built for the office in one of the school buildings. After the demolition and reconstruction work on the school buildings, the new plaster is now flashing on the exterior facades.
Even with the good news however, we still rely on your support to fully finance the project. We'd be very happy if you shared our work with your colleagues or family and friends! Of course we will keep you updated about the Barmwony Primary School in the coming months.
