Dear donor,

2021 has come to an end and we would love to share with you the progress we've made over the past few months at our project at the Barmwony Primary School. Each and everyone of you made it possible! Your support is not a matter of course and we are very grateful for it.

  • June 2021: Completion of the foundation work and start of construction of the sanitary facilities

The construction work continued to progress. After the foundation work for the new classroom building had been completed, the walls for it were already being diligently raised. In addition, the excavations for the new sanitary facilities had already taken place.
  • June 2021: Well in operation

The newly constructed well could be put into operation. At the beginning of the project, the borehole that was dug for a well had collapsed and was unusable.
  • August 2021: Painting in progress

Despite the ongoing restrictions, construction work had continued. The hand washing facility was already completely finished and only the cleaning of the area and the final painting of the buildings were still to be done at the latrines and the new classrooms.
  • October 2021: Reason to celebrate

The premises were handed over to the Barmwony Primary School. Hence, the construction of a new school building with four classrooms and an office room, including an integrated water supply, drainable latrines, a hand washing facility and a well, could be implemented according to plan.

With the improved infrastructure of the Barmwony Primary School, its reputation has increased so that more and more students from the region want to study there. In order to make this possible, we are planning a follow-up project at the school where we want to build more latrines and renovate another seven classrooms.

For that reason, we continue to rely on your support. We'd be very happy if you shared our work with your colleagues or family and friends. Furthermore, you can ensure our ability to act with a sponsor membership starting at 8€ per month.

If you want to stay informed about the latest developments in Uganda as well as about our projects, feel free to follow us on Instagram.

Again thank you very much and all the best. :)

Celine
