Can you believe these stats? These are the stats you are changing.
Together, we are supporting 650 boys and girls in Cambodia so they can attend PIO School for free. When your household income is $1,228.50 per year (average income per capita), an education, lunch each school day for your child, and rice for your family each month, make a huge difference.
In fact, enrollment is increasing at PIO in the upper grades because they have added high school classes so students in lower grades continue to attend their classes because of this incentive. They know they will be able to keep studying at no cost to their families.
The ratio of female to male students is 47%- almost 50/50! This is an exciting opportunity for girls especially. Additionally, 80% of students passed their monthly English and Khmer exams and 92% of 6th graders passed their high school entrance exams. With 53% of the population in Cambodia dropping out of primary school, your support is making a difference more than ever.
Thank you for your donation. Thank you for believing that these children and youth can make a better future for themselves and their families. Through this project, the first PIO student graduated University this year and 12 students are attending college, paving the way for the generations after them to study, hope, dream, and achieve more than they could have ever imagined.
