Our Back to School campaign aims to provide children from migrant worker families with essential school supplies needed to begin the academic year with confidence and dignity. Through this initiative, we invite you to contribute towards essential school supplies for migrant children to reduce barriers to education and ensure that they walk into classrooms prepared, included, and ready to learn.
Children from migrant worker families face barriers to education due to financial instability, frequent mobility, and limited access to basic school supplies. The lack of essentials such as bags, notebooks, and stationery affects classroom participation, confidence, and a child's sense of belonging. For low-income migrant families, education-related expenses are often difficult to prioritise, increasing risks of absenteeism, interrupted learning, and long-term educational exclusion.
Sampark's Back to School campaign aims to provide school kits to 1,185 government school-going children from migrant and underprivileged backgrounds. Each kit includes a bag, stationery, lunch box, water bottle, and umbrella. Beyond material support, these essentials help children from migrant worker families feel prepared, included, and confident in classrooms, strengthening participation, dignity, and continuity in education.
The Back to School campaign aims to strengthen long-term educational continuity and inclusion for children from migrant worker families. By reducing barriers to participation, it encourages regular attendance, classroom engagement, and a stronger sense of confidence and belonging. Sustained access to education can improve learning outcomes, reduce dropout risks, and create greater opportunities for long-term social and economic mobility.
