During this reporting period, this project continued to support the individualized special education programs of two young children with autism: 6-year-old Rüzgar and 5-year-old Oguzhan. Both children participated regularly in tailored educational and therapeutic sessions designed to meet their specific developmental needs.
Rüzgar focused on strengthening his early academic skills. Literacy activities supported letter recognition, sound matching, and reading simple words and short sentences. In mathematics, he worked on counting, grouping objects, and basic addition and subtraction using hands-on materials. Structured social skills sessions helped him practice turn-taking, sharing, and cooperative play in small group settings. Therapeutic support contributed to improved attention and task completion.
Oguzhan concentrated primarily on communication and social interaction skills. Individual instruction supported vocabulary development and the formation of meaningful sentences. He practiced responding to questions and engaging in short back-and-forth communication. Social interaction activities emphasized sharing, turn-taking, and participating in guided group play, helping him feel more comfortable expressing himself in social environments.
Throughout the reporting period, consistent access to individualized education played a critical role in maintaining progress for both children. The observed developments highlight the importance of continuous, personalized intervention in supporting the academic, communication, and social growth of children with autism.
