The Egyptian Clothing Bank's Back-to-School Campaign 2026 aims to support vulnerable children, particularly orphans and those from underprivileged families, by providing essential school kits including uniforms, shoes, backpacks, underwear, socks, and school supplies. The campaign removes financial barriers to education, promotes school attendance and dignity, and supports women's economic empowerment through locally produced uniforms, creating sustainable social and economic impact.
Many children in Egypt, particularly orphans and children from underprivileged families, face financial barriers that prevent them from accessing essential school needs such as uniforms, shoes, backpacks, and school supplies. Rising education-related costs increase the burden on vulnerable families, which can lead to absenteeism, school dropout, and reduced opportunities for children to continue their education with dignity.
The project will provide vulnerable students with comprehensive school kits including uniforms, shoes, backpacks, underwear, socks, and essential school supplies. Working with the Ministry of Education, local directorates, and partner NGOs, the campaign will prioritize underserved and rural communities, helping reduce financial barriers, improve school attendance, strengthen children's confidence and dignity, and support a more inclusive learning environment.
The project aims to create sustainable social and economic impact by improving children's access to education and reducing the risk of absenteeism and dropout. At the same time, school uniforms are produced locally through ECB workshops, creating dignified employment opportunities for women, particularly female heads of households. This approach supports women's economic empowerment, local manufacturing, responsible production, and long-term community development.
