Building Atmosphere For Childs Holistic development Protection & Nurturing' for 50 children. Aim is to provide Alternate family care to family separated child due to losing one or both parents by HIV/AID and living in extreme poverty with earning less than $1.25 per day. Project Goal is to "Psycho-Social and Physical development of children in need of care & protection for making them responsible and independent " through Alternate family care for orphan in Nalanda distict, Bihar, India.
Orphans are belonging to Muslim and socially deprived communities. Children get separated from their families are kept in various institutions, with relatives/friends,living on streets. Child uses drugs, get neglected from society, getting abused, exploited physically/mentally/sexually and does not get a proper direction towards building their future. All these affect their psycho-social well being. Institutional arrangement and the streets cannot provide an environment for growth.
Our program will identify 50 Orphan needs and support will be provided based on their care plan. Each orphan will be linked with kinship/foster/individual/group family care support to have education, health, proper nutrition and freedom to fun & leisure for their proper growth and development.Community level stakeholders, Govt. Care and Protection Mechanisms participation will be increased to take proper care, protection and monitoring of orphans.
To build a relationship between child and family to develop a sense of mutual acceptance, belongingness and love among each other, which would ensure family continues to take care of the child. Economically weaker care livelihood (linkage with government schemes) enhancement will provide support system in sustaining the care giver family. The community level stakeholders and activation of government mechanism will ensure safety of child by adopting various measures.
